Making jewelry was a happy accident. I always enjoyed working with my hands and growing up, I used to create earrings out of the springs from pens and any other paired parts I found around the house.
Transitioning into my college years, the discovery of a specialized bead store ignited a profound passion for meticulously assembling beaded accessories.
Making jewelry brings me peace and joy. The true fulfillment, however, lies in extending this joy to others through the creation of bespoke pieces. My first pieces went to family and friends as I learned to take beautiful beads and stones and transform them into necklaces, earrings and bracelets with a professional finish.
Over the next decade, I made and gave away many more pieces, but more apparently, I accumulated an extensive array of beads, findings, tools, and storage solutions. Confronted with the tangible value of my amassed inventory, I recognized the potential for transforming this cherished pursuit into a venture that could recoup some of the investments made. In 2010, LFWest Beaded Jewellery Designs was formally established, marking the inception of a journey that has seen the creation of countless unique pieces, each bearing the hallmark of “Designs from the Heart.”
My recent focus revolves around the harmonious integration of recycled glass beads, predominantly sourced from the West African sub-region of Ghana, with an eclectic mix of gemstones, crystals, seed beads, and metal spacer beads. Yet, my artistic zenith is achieved in collaboration with clients, where I derive inspiration to craft truly personalized pieces.
